Fee for the course includes textbooks. Computer Science Endorsement Application Process NEGA RESA Endorsement Programs Application Packet The computer science endorsement is comprised of four(4), ten-week courses. Courses will be offered online through Canvas. Participants must successfully complete all 4 courses to earn the endorsement. This course is an introduction to program logic and design. This course is an introductory course for computer science educators. We will study an over-view of algorithms, secondary storage, data types, variables, and control structures. The learner will be introduced to input, processing, output, binary conversions, boolean logic, and more. This course has many examples and problems/activities. The instructor may choose to add a programming language for each of the programming example in the book. The prospective teacher will have the opportunity to explore the textbook to be used in his/her classroom, whether to add a language or animated applications such as scratch as an additional module, and explore how to present the material to the teacher's grade level. |
