Course Description
 More Details

The state requires a four hour training for individuals to serve as a substitute teacher. Northeast Georgia RESA offers training that will qualify an individual to serve as a substitute in the following systems:

Commerce City     Greene     Jefferson City     Madison

Morgan     Oconee     Oglethorpe     Social Circle City     Walton     Rutland Academy

Individuals wishing to substitute in a system not listed above are advised to contact that system to confirm that they will accept the Northeast Georgia RESA training.

It is the participant’s responsibility to complete the application process with the system or systems they wish to work with.  This includes completing an application, references, and fingerprinting/background check.  In addition participants should confirm with the system(s) the minimum educational requirement for substitutes.

Participants may bring snacks and water/drinks.  Coffee will be provided.  Drink machines are available on site, but change is not.

Northeast Georgia RESA is located at 375 Winter Street, Winterville, GA  30683.

**Substitutes must complete the entire training, so individuals arriving more than ten minutes after the starting time will not be admitted to the training.
