Course Description More Details
The Georgia Department of Education Mathematics Team will lead this professional learning regarding Georgia's New K-12 Mathematics Standards and Resources. They will present these standards and resources from their unique point-of-view as this team has and will continue to lead mathematics educators in Georgia into teaching and learning through the lens of Mathematical Modeling, the Framework for Statistical Reasoning,the Mathematical Practices, and the Effective Teaching Practices. Following the DOE Math Team presentation and lunch, participants will dive deeply into the resources currently available with a culminating discussion to cap off the day. All school and district leadership for math are welcome to participate in this opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and clarify the K-12 Mathematics Standards set for implementation in the fall of the 2023-2024 school year.
