Course Description More Details
The behavior specialist training is designed to standardize the competencies demonstrated by educators who serve in the role of a school-based behavior specialist. If you are new to your role and/or if you have limited formal training in behavioral science, tiered systems, and tier 3 coaching, you may benefit from participating in this workshop. The workshop will begin with an overview of how the behavior specialist supports students, both individually and in small groups, within a multi-tiered system of support. We will then further discuss the support the behavior specialist provides within the classroom. The workshop will conclude with the role of the behavior specialist in leading skill groups, responding to a crisis, and writing FBA’s and BIP’s.
