Northeast GLRS is offering a professional learning opportunity for paraprofessionals. The Paraprofessional Academy is a course designed to support and build capacity within Paraprofessionals who work with students with special needs in the school setting. This course will focus on topics related to paraprofessional best practices, teacher collaboration, data collection, behavior support, supervision, instructional strategies, accommodations/modifications, and more. The course will be presented through 6 monthly Zoom meetings (Sept - March) with course materials and session recordings available in the Para Academy Google Classroom for ease of access and collaboration. Zoom meeting attendance is encouraged but not required. Session recordings will be posted in Google Classroom the following week.
